Education
Regarded as a leading jazz educationalist within the UK, Jamil Sheriff is based at Leeds College of Music where he lectures on the degree course in Jazz Performance, Ensemble Studies, Aural Awareness and Composition.
Jamil has hosted a number of seminars and workshops at colleges and universities around the country and is also available for private tuition.
Workshops in performance and composition can involve guest musicians to form a rhythm section, small ensemble or large ensemble.
Members of the Jamil Sheriff Octet and other nationally acclaimed musicians will be available for such a program.
The structure of the event can be designed to help develop material that students are currently working on.
